We assess applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Decision making authority: You are a senior professional with decision-making authority in your business.
  • Track record of sourcing through importing: You have a dedicated budget to source new products through importation.
  • Availability to travel to South Africa:
    1. Must be available to travel to Cape Town between 11 – 13 June 2025.
    2. Ready and willing to engage in pre-scheduled meetings during the exhibition.

Hosted Buyer Programme Process

  • Buyers can apply for the programme through an online form, which will be reviewed by the Hosted Buyer team and accepted or rejected based on a set of criteria including decision-making authority, budget and relevance to the exhibitors participating in Hotel & Hospitality Expo Africa 2025.
  • Successful buyers will be required to register and agree to terms of the Hosted Buyer Programme.
  • Buyers will be required to confirm 5 meetings with exhibitors.

Submit an online application. We'll review it based on set criteria and inform you of the decision (by no later than the 14 May 2024).

Is there a fee to participate?

No, participation in the program is free for qualified buyers.

What are the expectations of a Hosted Buyer?
  • Selected buyers will need to register and agree to our terms and conditions for participating
  • You will be required to confirm a minimum number of exhibitor meetings (typically around 10).
  • You may be called upon to talk at our free-to-attend workshop, during the event.
What if I have dietary restrictions or accessibility needs?

Please mention any such requirements once your application has been approved – if you meet the criteria. We'll work with you to ensure a smooth experience.

How are meetings arranged?

Our concierge service matches buyers with relevant exhibitors based on their needs.

Can I track the results of my participation?

Yes, you can see which buyers request meetings through the feedback from our concierge service.

What happens if I'm not selected as a Hosted Buyer?

You can still attend the Expo and visit exhibitor booths! General registration information is available on the event website.
